高雄醫學大學體系乳房外科（Division of Breast and Oncology）正式成立於2016年8月。高雄醫學大學在乳癌及乳房疾病的服務方面擁有悠久的歷史。早在1980年代，侯明鋒教授（曾任高醫體系醫院院長、台灣外科醫學會理事長）便開始致力於乳癌的公衛政策與診斷治療，並前往美國進修。在高醫乳房外科這塊土壤裡面，培育出很多優秀的乳房外科醫師。
